Project Description
The DSO4DT project is the first of its kind, funded by the European Commission. It brings together European DSOs, digitalisation experts, and key stakeholders to advance the development and adoption of Digital Twins across Europe.
Our goal to this end is to foster collaboration, share best practices, and build an active and supportive community to support Digital Twin developments in the energy sector.
The project’s core objectives are:
Mobilize DSO Entity’s members to support
European Digital Twin Activities
Boost uptake of Digital Twins, smart grid, and innovative grid technologies
Enhance DSO Entity’s digital, operational and technical expertise to mobilize its members
The DSO4DT project will actively support European activities working on developing Digital Twins for the electricity grid by establishing a platform of exchange with the full collaboration of the European DSOs. This will be cultivated through the full potential of DSO Entity’s experts and their engagement with the relevant Digital Twin Activities. Furthermore, this project will exponentially collaborate with relevant external stakeholders and smaller DSOs to disseminate and present valuable findings pertaining to the value of Digital Twins.
Ultimately, DSO Entity will be working towards establishing a collaborative Digital Twin community that can present the measurable impacts and benefits of Digital Twins to the broader European electricity grid landscape, all the while accelerating the uptake of Digital Twins for DSOs in Europe.
