Brussels, 6 May 2026 – Yesterday Entity, ENTSO-E, Europacable, and T&D Europe jointly hosted a stakeholder workshop aiming at strengthening resilient grid supply chains. The workshop also assessed the progress realised while delivering both the Action 13 of the Grid Action Plan and the Joint Roadmap towards Future-Proof Grids, developed by the four organisations and published in June 2025.
The workshop gathered diverse stakeholders, including system operators, manufacturers, suppliers, institutional actors, and energy organisations. Participants discussed insights from recent initiatives, including the second ENTSO-E Investment Pipeline Survey, DSO Entity’s DNDP platform, as well as industry perspectives on future manufacturing capacity, needed to build a common understanding of upcoming grid investment and infrastructure needs.
The programme featured three parallel thematic sessions, offering detailed exchanges on:
- Circularity and sustainability in supply chains
- Revision and recommendations to the public procurement directives
- Critical grid infrastructure for both physical and cyber security aspects.
Participants also reflected on the requirements for a more resilient European grid supply chain and highlighted priority areas where stronger stakeholder coordination could accelerate progress.
ENTSO-E, DSO Entity, T&D Europe, and Europacable will continue collaborating with industry partners and the European Commission to carry forward the outcomes of these discussions into the next phase of the Joint Roadmap.
