On 19 December, DSO Entity and ENTSO-E jointly published their progress report on Capacitypedia, developed within the scope of the Grid Action Plan – Action 6 – on Hosting Capacities.
This deliverable is developed under the framework of the EU Action Plan for Grids – Action 6 by the DSO Entity and ENTSO-E Joint task force (JTF) for Grid Hosting Capacities. DSO Entity & ENTSO-E have joined forces in a collaborative effort to gather key information, essential for understanding grid hosting capacity in different EU Member States. Read more about the joint work of the associations in our previous article “DSO Entity and ENTSO-E on the road to deliver the European Grid Hosting Capacity initiative in line with the Grid Action Plan Point 6“.
The Capacitypedia progress report offers an initial outlook of the indicative contents of DSO Entity and ENTSO-E Joint Portal on Grid Hosting Capacities, which is being developed to improve the accessibility of hosting capacity information across the EU.
This report provides preliminary information on hosting capacity across various DSOs and TSOs in the EU. Until the official portal is launched, the data presented here serves as an interim source of insight. The information in this report is based on data received from individual participating DSOs and TSOs and as of a defined cut-off date prior to publication.
DSO Entity and ENTSO-E Joint Portal on Grid Hosting Capacities will:
- Create a pan-EU overview by aggregating links to national grid hosting capacity information
- Provide contextual information to help stakeholders better understand the available information.
- Increase visibility for project developers of renewables, energy storage, emerging load such as EV charging stations and other developers.
This milestone represents a significant step towards clear and accessible hosting capacity information, ultimately accelerating the energy transition.
